TuneSera turns your WordPress site into a searchable internet radio directory. Visitors can browse stations by country, genre or language and listen with a player that keeps playing while they move around your site.

What you can build#

  • A radio directory page with search, country, genre and language filters, sorting and list or grid layouts.
  • A page for every station with its logo, description, genres, location, contact details and social links.
  • Browse pages that list stations by country, genre or language.
  • A sticky player that keeps the music going while visitors browse, with the current song when the station shares it.
  • Location archives for countries, states or divisions, and cities.

Where the stations come from#

You can add stations in three ways, and mix them as you like:

  • The bundled directory. The free plugin includes 1,186 ready-to-import stations from 30 countries.
  • Your own CSV file. Upload a spreadsheet of stations you already have.
  • By hand. Add a station in the station editor and test its stream before you publish.

Pro: Import from the global catalog of 70,000+ stations in 230 countries. Get TuneSera Pro

Free and Pro at a glance#

Everything in the free plugin works on its own. TuneSera Pro is a separate add-on that installs alongside the free plugin and adds:

  • The global station catalog (230 countries) and saving station logos to your Media Library.
  • CSV imports with any column names, using field mapping.
  • Featured and popular stations, plus local discovery that starts visitors on stations from their own country.
  • Listening analytics stored on your own site.
  • Extra player styles, a popup player, a sleep timer, a default station and track artwork.
  • Typography, spacing and button controls, page layout options, and the [tunesera_player] and [tunesera_locations] shortcodes.

In the free plugin, Pro options are shown with a PRO badge so you can see what is available. The badges disappear once your Pro license is active.

Requirements#

  • WordPress 6.6 or newer
  • PHP 7.4 or newer

TuneSera works with any well-built theme. You don’t need the TuneSera theme, although it is designed to pair with the plugin.

Where to start#

  1. Install TuneSera.
  2. Run the setup wizard to create your directory page and import your first stations.
  3. Add the directory to your menu so visitors can find it.
