Privacy Policy

What we collect when you use wpsera.com and our products, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Last updated October 10, 2026

The short version
  • We collect only what we need to run the Site, answer you and deliver what you bought.
  • No advertising or analytics trackers are used on wpsera.com.
  • We never sell your personal data.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

01Who we are

WPSera (“we”, “us”) builds WordPress plugins and custom WordPress projects and runs wpsera.com (the “Site”). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].

02What we collect

We collect information you give us and a small amount of technical information:

  • Support account and tickets. Your name, username, email address and password (stored encrypted) when you create an account, plus the messages and files you add to your tickets. Ticket attachments are stored privately and are only visible to you and our team.
  • Project briefs (SeraLab). Your name, email, company, the services you’re interested in, budget, timeline, project details and whether you’d like an NDA.
  • Email updates. Your email address and the date you signed up when you ask to hear about new products or offers.
  • Purchases. When you buy a license, our reseller Freemius collects your billing and payment details. We receive your name, email, the product and plan, and license details, but never your full card number.
  • Blog comments. If comments are open, the name, email and comment you submit.
  • Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps server logs (IP address, browser and pages requested) for security and reliability. We also use your IP address briefly to limit repeated form submissions and failed login attempts.

03How we use it

  • To answer support requests and project briefs, and to send you emails about your tickets, briefs and purchases.
  • To deliver your licenses, updates and invoices.
  • To send product or offer updates you asked for. Every email update can be stopped at any time.
  • To keep the Site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Where privacy laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on: performing our contract with you (support, licenses), your consent (email updates), our legitimate interests (security, improving our products), and legal obligations (tax records).

04Cookies and local storage

wpsera.com does not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers.

  • Login cookies. WordPress sets essential cookies when you sign in to the support portal, so you stay signed in.
  • Comment cookies. If you choose to, WordPress can remember your name and email for future comments.
  • Local storage. A few small preferences, such as whether you’ve opened the surprise gift on our Offers page or your sound setting, are saved in your own browser. They never leave your device and you can clear them in your browser settings.

05Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent personal data. We share it only with services that help us run WPSera, under their own privacy commitments:

  • Freemius: checkout, payments, invoices and license management (see the Freemius privacy policy).
  • Our hosting provider (Namecheap): hosts the Site, its database and email.
  • Cloudflare: delivers the Site through its network to keep it fast and secure, which means it processes your IP address and basic request details when a page loads.
  • Gravatar (Automattic): in the support portal, a scrambled (hashed) version of your email may be used to show your profile picture if you have one.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and WPSera.

06Data in our plugins

Our plugins run on your WordPress site. Data they collect there (for example, TuneSera’s listening analytics) is stored in your site’s database, not on our servers. If a plugin ever offers to share diagnostic or usage data with us, it will ask first and you can say no. If you use our plugins on your site, you are responsible for telling your own visitors how you use their data.

07How long we keep it

  • Support tickets and accounts: while your account is open, and up to 2 years after your last activity, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Project briefs: up to 2 years, or for the length of the project and any warranty period.
  • Email updates: until you unsubscribe.
  • Purchase and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
  • Rate-limiting records: about an hour.

08Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email [email protected]. We’ll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

09Security

The Site uses HTTPS, passwords are stored encrypted, ticket files are kept private, and forms are protected against spam and abuse. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password for your account.

10International transfers

Our team and service providers may process data in countries other than yours. When that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer to protect it.

11Children

The Site and our products are not meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

12Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when our practices change and change the “Last updated” date above. For significant changes, we’ll let you know on the Site or by email.
