TuneSera is built to help your radio directory get found in search engines, with structured data on station pages and sensible indexing rules for filtered views.

Structured data#

Every station page includes RadioStation structured data (schema.org), with the station’s name, page address, logo, location (as a PostalAddress with country and city) and links to its website and social profiles where available. This helps search engines understand your stations.

Indexing rules#

  • Station pages, country and city archives, genre archives and your directory page can all be indexed.
  • Filtered and sorted directory views (search, country, city, genre, language, sort and view parameters in the address) are marked noindex, so search engines don’t index thousands of near-duplicate pages.
  • Division archives are marked noindex.
  • TuneSera never overrides WordPress’s own “Discourage search engines” setting.

Yoast SEO#

With Yoast SEO active, TuneSera provides titles, meta descriptions, Open Graph details and canonical links for station and archive pages, and keeps the directory page in the page sitemap.

Tips#

  • Write a short, unique description for your most important stations.
  • Link to popular country and genre pages from your menus and posts.
  • Keep the defaults for URL slugs once your site is live. Changing them changes every station address.
